About Make Space
Make Space is a Brooklyn-based creative community built around one simple idea: that making things with your hands is one of the most grounding, human things you can do. We host monthly in-person events in New York, workshops, open craft sessions, and seasonal gatherings, where people come together to knit, weave, paint, print, stitch, and create in a room full of other makers doing the same. No experience required. No pressure to be good at it. Just the pleasure of making something you're proud of.

About our Founder
Urechi Oguguo is a New York-based creative director and multidisciplinary artist with a background in experiential design, architecture, and digital media. She has worked across museums, cultural institutions, and branded experiences, building environments where storytelling and physical space come together into something people actually want to inhabit.
She started Make Space in 2022 because that space didn’t exist — somewhere low-pressure, community-focused, and built around the simple pleasure of making things with your hands. So she built it.
